Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory is a standalone multiplayer game in which players wage war as Axis or Allies in teambased combat. In Enemy Territory Axis and Allied teams do battle in traditional single scenarios, or wage war through a series of linked scenarios in a totally new campaign mode. During combat players gain experience and skill, and through battlefield promotions are awarded additional abilities that remain persistent across an entire campaign.

Like the original id game, players assume the role of William J. 'B.J.' Blazkowicz, the Allies? bad boy of WWII espionage. The fate of the free world hangs in the balance as B.J. battles against the sadistic machinations of a Nazi war machine bent on world domination. This sequel reflects the same over-the-top comic book style of the original Wolfenstein 3D.
