In 1982, Jackson recorded the song Someone in the Dark for the book for the film ET the Extra-Terrestrial. Recordings were later won a Grammy for Best Album for Children. That same year, Michael released the first two production by the Epic label, titled Thriller. This is the best selling album in music history, with sales worldwide range from 47 to 104 million according to different sources [26] [27]. The album became the first LP in history to have 7 singles top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 in which the most prominent is Billie Jean, Beat It and album tracks with the same name. Thriller stand at the top spot on the Billboard Hot 200 in 37 weeks in the charts this week in 122. The album received certified 27 times platinum in the U.S. music market by the Recording Industry Association of the United States RIAA [28].

In the weeks before his death, Michael Jackson (August 29, 1958 June 25, 2009) was rehearsing a show, This Is It, that was to open in July. This film begins with a few of the auditioning dancers speaking to the camera about why theyre trying out and what Jackson means to them. Then we plunge into rehearsals at Staples Center in Los Angeles. The film is arranged by musical number with prerecorded material and footage from Jacksons various rehearsals edited together to take us through what would have been the concerts set list.
