Whilst well-known in music circles, Askin Arsunan should be considered as a new name for wider appeal, not just because he has lived abroad for the most of his musical career but more importantly he has always at the production side. The name Askin Arsunan was first heard by jazz fans at the Istanbul Jazz Festival in 2000, then also at Babylon with the Ethno Karma Project. Jazz purists and the media alike showed great interest.
