I watched original A.Ferrara's few weeks ago and yesterday this one.... Good things about movie - Louisiana is really beautiful I definitively want to see it, now Bad things - Cage's performance is really bad, but not in a BAD way;) he ain't funny, ain't BAD either. Shame I remember him in D.Lynch Wild at Heart, where's that Cage ??? He has gone, for good. Now, directing - where the hell is that genius W.Herzog ??? What's happened to him, I got nothing to say about it, just another not interesting movie, poorly acted (Eva is OK), then all characters are just not interesting. I was expecting world class cinema, and I saw a II class video movie with poorly acting great actors, directed by one of my favourite directors in cinema history. If there was a conflict between Ferrara and Herzog, then Abel must have a laugh now watching poor copy of his great drama. I am sorry to say it, but if you make a sequel, then you will always be compared to original. And comparing Harvey Keitel to N. Cage in Bad Lieutenant is unfair, because what Keitel did is thrilling and impossible to forget acting, and what Cage did, is just lame. Very, very disappointing, not interesting movie.
