Plot: A successful and happily coupled but restless gay man reevaluates his life and self identity in this

The story revolves around three soldiers -- Colee, TK and Cheever -- who return from the Iraq War after suffering injuries and learn that life has moved on without them. They end up on an unexpected road trip across the U.S., with Colee on a mission to bring her boyfriend's guitar back to his family because he saved her life.

After suffering an injury during a routine patrol, hardened sergeant TK Poole is granted a onemonth leave to visit his fiance. But when an unexpected blackout cancels all flights out of New York, TK agrees to share a ride to Pittsburgh with two similarly stranded servicemen: Cheever, an older family man who longs to return to his wife in St. Louis, and Colee, a naive private whos pinned her hopes on connecting with a dead fellow soldiers family. What begins as a short trip unexpectedly evolves into a longer journey. Forced to grapple with old relationships, broken hopes and a country divided over the war, TK, Cheever and Colee discover that home is not quite what they remembered, and that the unlikely companionship theyve found might be what matters the most.

This very entertaining and heartwarming Canadian television film, produced in 2009 and airing here as Family Gathering on the Hallmark Channel is a must see for the whole family. Top Billed Natasha Henstridge (giving her usual exceptional performance) plays Lisa Rayborn who returns home for mother's funeral, having spent the last 20 years in New York. She decides to stay in he country and help with the family farm, along the way adopting an unwanted dog which her father Clay takes an instant disliking to. Her brother Jim on the other hand is delighted to have a natural sheep herder in the family. Good music, great scenery and a fine cast including Harry Hamlin, Lawrence Dane and Anthony Lemke as Lisa's love interest make it all the more enjoyable.
