Plot: At the 1988 Winter Olympics at Calgary we see Doug Dorsey battered in a vicious hockey game against West Germany. We then see a Kate doing her program and falling when a lift goes bad. Both have fought all their life to get to the Olympics and suddenly the dream has been shattered. The movie then follows a tempermental but talented figure skater Kate through many partners until finally her coach resorts to recruiting a hockey player. Through the difficult training of 15 hours of skating a day they finally prepare for Nationals and the Olympics. A romance is budding and their final show could bend or break them as they try to achieve their dreams of an Olympic Gold medal. None of the candidates will do, and her coach finds a college hockey player with no figure skating experience as a last possibility. The two enter international competition trying out a new routine that is dangerous for each of them as their respect for each other finally begins to grow. With nowhere else to go, Kate's coach (Roy Dotrice) brings in Doug as a potential partner, although Doug has no figure skating experience. Kate is none too thrilled about this arrangement and tries to antagonize Doug into leaving, but his strong work ethic and lack of options convinces him to stay in it, to the point that he begins to like figure skating! The pair undergo gruelling, rigorous training to finalize a program for U.S. National championships - and from there, the Olympics and a possible gold medal... caps:  Plot: Jackie Dorsey (Christy Carlson Romano), the daughter of Olympic Gold medalists Doug Dorsey and Kate Moseley from the original film The Cutting Edge, also enters the figure skating field, with ambitions of winning her own Olympic gold. However, a serious injury derails that ambition. After months of training, Jackie is finally ready to skate again but has trouble keeping up with the rigorous demands of singles skating. Her parents send her on a vacation to L.A., where she meets surfer boy Alex Harrison (Ross Thomas). Sparks fly between the two, but when Alex discovers who Jackie is, he rejects her. In the meantime, Jackie realizes that, considering the circumstances, pairs skating will give her a better chance at Olympic gold. After many unsuccessful interviews with prospective partners, she becomes frustrated. Then, after Alex Harrison sees Jackie on TV, discussing her search for a partner, he shows up for an interview. Even though Alex has no experience and has trained for only a short time, he shows remarkable natural talent. However, Jackie feels that Alex is lazy and unreliable. Inevitably, the two lock horns. They fight so constantly that Jackie's mom locks them together with a harness, forcing them to do everything together. After that, Jackie and Alex start to get along, and their attraction grows. But then, Alex's old girlfriend Heidi shows up and jeopardizes Alex and Jackie's chance at gold. After a blowout fight at nationals, Alex leaves. Jackie convinces him to return, but also learns that Heidi and Alex are engaged. Alex and Jackie train for the Olympics, which will be held in Torino, Italy. Later, while in Torino, Heidi lets it slip that they are getting married immediately after the closing ceremonies and that Alex will be hanging up his skates for good. This causes friction between Jackie and Alex, resulting in a passionless short program, and they end up in fourth place. Jackie then reveals to her father that she still loves Alex, and her father convinces her to talk to him. Jackie goes to Alex's room and pours her heart out to someone that she thinks is Alex, but that person is actually Heidi. After hearing Jackie’s confession of love, Heidi locks the door and Jackie takes off. When Alex discovers what Heidi has done, he goes after her. Heidi tells him that if he leaves, she will not be there when he returns. He leaves anyway. Jackie refuses to talk to Alex, but right after their program begins, Alex tells Jackie that he is in love with her. Their long program is flawless and includes move that has never been done before. In glides Alejandra "Alex" Delgado (Francia Raisa), a beautiful, tough-talking hockey player with fierce moves and a fearless skating style. Zach is willing to give her a chance, but his coach, Bryan, is hesitant. However after a fight almost erupts between him and Alex's brother he quits in a huff to train Zach's biggest rivals, Cindy Halgyord and Jason Bright (Ben Hollingsworth). This unfortunately leaves Zach with a newbie partner and no coach until he convinces former figure skating champ Jackie Dorsey (Christy Carlson Romano) to step in. She puts Zach and Alex through their paces, but the hardest trick of all is keeping them focused on practice and not each other as they bicker and struggle with a growing attraction both on and off the ice. Jackie knows these kids are fire and ice, and sees the chemistry between them. She also knows that if they can get it together, they'll set the skating world on fire. That is, if the heat between them doesn't cause a total meltdown. Whittier meets and starts dating a D.J. named Derek, but she’s forced to break up with him because Tina says that Derek isn’t the type of boy Whittier should be dating. Tina doesn’t like Monica’s attitude, so she also tries to make Whittier choose between Monica and cheerleading. Whittier and Monica both get angry and quit the team. Despite this, Britney is able to form a tentative friendship with Jesse (Gus Carr) and manages to prove her own cheerleading worth by getting a spot on the Warriors cheer squad. There she battles it out with Camille to input her own creative ideas. Tensions rise when Britney has to choose between her new responsibility to the Warriors and her old loyalties to the Pirates when both teams join the same competition to be featured in Rihanna's television special. At the same time, she is forced to choose between her new friendship with Jesse, and her old relationship with Brad. In the end, Britney decides to dedicate herself to the Warriors, happily submitting to Camille's captaincy. The Pirates, on the other hand, turn on Winnie because of her overbearing ways. Caps:  Plot summary: The West Coast Sharks Cheerleading Squad, captained by Carson (Ashley Benson), are attending Camp Spirit-Thunder where they're confronted by their arch-rivals, the East Coast Jets Cheerleading Squad, captained by Brooke (Cassie Scerbo). Both squads are fierce rivals because each is the best on its respective coast; however, the Jets have beaten the Sharks at the annual Cheer Camp Championships for the previous three years in a row. On her first day at camp, Carson meets and hits it off with Penn (Michael Copon). They trade phone numbers, neither knowing the other is a member of their arch-rival squad. When Carson eventually does find out that Penn is a Jet, she gives him up although she really likes him. As part of the Camp Spirit-Thunder ritual, the West Coast Sharks are given the Spirit Stick, a "special" cheerleading item that they have to guard fiercely. Carson agrees to watch the Spirit Stick when her friends leave for a poker game, but she forgets about it when Penn arrives to ask her out. They go to a nearby amusement park and spend time together, notably riding the Double Dragons (Dueling Dragons at Universal's Islands of Adventure) rollercoaster. At this time, Penn confesses his darkest secret to Carson: he forced his team to raise money for him to go to the camp so that his father wouldn't find out he is a cheerleader. Carson's friends return to her room, but find both her and the Spirit Stick missing. They search for her, eventually finding her dancing with Penn. At this time Brooke and her friends also see the duo. When the Sharks reveal that the Spirit Stick is gone, Carson accuses the Jets of sending Penn to lure her away, and she angrily announces to all Penn's secret. The Sharks are worried, because losing the Spirit Stick means they are "cursed". The Sharks decide to hold a ceremony to ask the "Cheer People" for forgiveness. They are interrupted when the Jets arrive, and the squads have a "cheer-rumble". The authorities arrive, and in the melee a number of members of both teams are injured. Both teams have to leave since neither has enough members to compete. But before they can board their respective buses, Carson suggests to Brooke that they combine into a single squad to compete at the Cheer Camp Championship. Though reluctant at first, the teams come together as the "Shets", complete with new uniforms made through patching their old uniforms together. The two teams slowly bond, while Carson works on repairing her relationship with Penn. The Shets sneak into Camp Victory, the rival of Camp Spirit-Thunder, to scope Camp Victory's star team The Flamingos. After seeing their impressive performance, Carson devises a new routine, inspired by the Double Dragon ride at that amusement park. On the day of the competition, the Shets perform their routine perfectly, winning the competition outright. Carson and Penn kiss on the mat in the middle of the celebrations, and it is revealed that Camp Victory are the ones responsible for stealing the Spirit Stick. Jane Bullard (Jessica Alba) enlists the support of Guru Maurice Pitka (Mike Myers) to help Darren with his stress so that the team can hopefully break their losing streak. In addition to getting a considerable payment, Pitka would be invited to Oprah Winfrey's show, which he hopes would help him become the #1 guru, a place currently held by Deepak Chopra. Pitka succeeds, but feels no need anymore to become #1, more important is his love for Bullard. However, in connection with a vow, Guru Tugginmypudha gave him a chastity belt. Pitka returns to Tugginmypudha to have it removed. Tugginmypudha agrees that it can be removed now, and explains how to do that; to Pitka's surprise no key is needed.
