Description:
Limbo is an independent game that was announced in 2007 by Danish developer Playdead. Limbo has a dark theme with graphics in black and white, showing only the outline of the items and characters that appear on the scene. In the plot, a boy searches for his missing sister in a macabre world.
The small (and sinister, too) boy who roams the even more sinister forest is the protagonist of events that at first glance, would be totally unremarkable. However, in all this is an oppressive darkness that makes everything that takes a slightly Dantesque touch. The very beginning of the game where all you see is the forest full of darkness, he is dark. Not just in the literal sense of the word "dark", but figuratively.
Stones rolling ridges of rocks, sounds of crickets in the background, often broken by a stony silence that makes the child becomes frightening in the darkness without, however, pose no danger, flies hovering dead carcasses that will help in solving puzzles outsiders and disturbing and total lack of soundtrack, make game Limbo of the most beautiful, intriguing and innovative in recent times.
