A community is under siege as three Belmont Highschool coed students go missing with no trace of their whereabouts. The pressure is on the police to capture the culprits responsible. Scouring the school hallways in search of clues, undercover female detective Maggie Rawdon (Jessica Sonnerborn) enters Belmont High as a transfer student in an attempt to solve the hideous disappearance of the students. Maggie makes a few new friends, and gets invited to a private rave in the country. Just as the group begins to suspect that theyve taken a wrong turn, however, the trap is sprung and Maggie finds out firsthand what fate has befallen the missing girls.

They were five students with nothing in common, faced with spending a Saturday detention together in their high school library. At 7 a.m., they had nothing to say, but by 4 p.m., they had bared their souls to each other and become good friends. To the outside world they were simply the Jock, the Brain, the Criminal, the Princess and the Kook, but to each other, they would always be the Breakfast Club.

Fans of contemporary smooth jazz and instrumental pop will find much to enjoy on Club 1600's Ridin' High. Largely the work of keyboardist/composer/producer Rex Rideout, Ridin' High features a strong supporting cast of musicians, including saxophonist Gerald Albright, trumpeter Mark Ledford, and guitarist Marc Antoine. All of these players are stars in their own right and add much style and color here. One of the big strengths Rideout has brought to the album is a strong R&B influence covering tunes such as the Frankie Beverly classic "Before I Let You Go" and also featuring vocalists Marc Dorsey and Maysa on some tracks. ~ Matt Collar
