This makes it possible to increase the speed of interactive miscalculation (including IPR), to increase productivity batch rendering (including launch from the command line), affect the coverage (pre lighting) textures and points. Mental Ray for Maya Satellite is no substitute for mental ray Standalone for applications such as render farm.
