Genre: MultiMedia Altiverb 6 is a convolution reverb plug in for Mac OS X and Windows XP. It uses top quality samples of real spaces to create reverb, ranging from Sydney Opera House to the cockpit of a Jumbo Jet. Altiverb 6 offers the most extensive set of parameters, it supports all professional plug in formats including protools TDM on the Mac, parameter automation and surround. Altiverb 6 gives you a choice between iLok SmartKey or Challenge/response copy protection, it lets you sample your own spaces (currently Mac only), and Altiverb is efficient on your cpu.
READ THIS!
1. If your installer hangs on the Examining Additional Disks bit, then restart your mac, i also actually plugged an external drive, then it worked.
2. Install all plugin types or it may not work at all! I chose not to install MAS or RTAS, but that led to AU and VST not working.
3. If you cant get the Impulse Response Library Installers to work make a file called Impulse Responses in (Macintosh HD)/Applications/Audio Ease/Altiverb 6. Then open up your host (Logic, Ableton,etc) and open an instance of Altiverb, click on the + icon, choose select other IR folder and choose the Impulse Responses folder you just made. Close your DAW. Now install the IR Installer Complete.
4. This may seem mad, but its what i had to, open up your DAW, open another Atliverb, and it says it cant find the IRs still, choose Select another folder again, this time select the Altiverb 6 folder, and it should scan for all your IRs. Once done, close your host, and install the other two IR collections.
It may sound long winded, but thats what i had to do! hopefully it will easier for you!
