Peter Rene Cipiriano Baumann (born January 5, 1968), better known as DJ BoBo, is a successful Swiss singer, songwriter, dancer and music producer. DJ BoBo has sold 14 million records world-wide and has released 10 studio albums as well as a few compilation albums which have included his previous hits in a reworked format. He has also released as many as 34 singles to date, some of which have charted quite high, not only in German speaking countries, but also in other European territories.

Joshua Bell's first recordings of these warhorses stand apart from the hundreds of versions crowding the catalogs in at least one respect, namely his own cadenzas. Beethoven didn't supply his own for the long first movement of his Violin Concerto, and Bell's thoughtful, stylish emendation easily stands with the frequently played Kreisler and Joachim cadenzas as a viable option.

Antonin Dvorak is a composer of many different ideas, who is usually known only for his "Slavonic Dances" and "New World" Symphony. Young piano students may have been exposed to his "Humoresque", and an aria from the opera "Rusalka" made its way to the soundtrack of "Driving Miss Daisy".
