After his entire department is outsourced, an American novelty products salesman (Hamilton) heads to India to train his replacement.

Based on an independent film of the same name, this NBC comedy project follows a novelty company manager when he is sent to India to supervise and train a group of customer service reps.

When the call center he manages in Seattle is outsourced to India, Todd travels there to train his replacement. Housed in a new building that looks like an above-ground bunker, the call center is staffed by willing novices whom Todd trains to sound American. One star on the staff is Asha, who teaches Todd that he should learn about India, and proceeds to do just that.

When Asha (Rebecca Hazlewood) begins taking the next step toward her arranged marriage Todd (Ben Rappaport) and Manmeet (Sacha Dhawan) step in and devise a plan that will make Todd a potential suitor. Overhearing Todd's feelings for Asha, Madhuri (Anisha Nagarajan) gives him her ticket to a concert so he can surprise her and have a Bollywood ending. Meanwhile, Rajiv (Rizwan Manji) tries to help Gupta (Parvesh Cheena) get over a bad habit
