The Bodyguard is a 1992  romantic-thriller film starring Kevin Costner and Whitney Houston. In the film, Costner stars as a former Secret Service Agent turned bodyguard  who is hired to protect Houston's character, a music star, from an unknown stalker. Lawrence Kasdan wrote the film in the 1970's as a vehicle for Steve McQueen. It was directed by Mick Jackson.

In this film debut for Houston, she plays Rachel Marron, an Oscar-nominated music superstar who is being stalked and sent death threats. Frank Farmer (Kevin Costner), a former Secret Service agent during Ronald Reagan's presidency-turned professional bodyguard, is hired to protect her.[3]

The film follows Rachel Marron's life through her career and family. Performances include her singing hits such as "I Will Always Love You" and "I Have Nothing". Frank Farmer successfully protects her from danger and as a result of his protection, Rachel falls in love with Frank. He initially tries to keep the relationship professional, but the two sleep together. However, recognizing that their relationship may compromise his protection of her, Frank breaks off their affair. Rachel must put her trust in Frank ahead of her own desire for success. In the end, Frank's duty is fulfilled, having successfully protected Rachel, and they part with a kiss. Frank then moves on to his next assignment, guarding a Congressman standing up against organized crime.[4]

A New Beginning focuses around the story of Leung, the bodyguard of a Chinese Triad boss, Wong, to whom his loyalty is unrivaled. Living in Hong Kong, Wong requests that his bodyguard travel to the UK to protect a young British woman, whose true identity is known only by Wong himself. Even his own errant son, Yuen, is kept in the dark, which leads to a betrayal that threatens to destroy the family and all that his father has worked hard to protect.

A pop singer has been receiving threatening notes, and her manager hires a bodyguard known for his good work. The bodyguard ruffles the singer s feathers and most of her entourage by tightening security more than they feel is necessary. The bodyguard is haunted by the fact that he was on Reagan s secret service staff but wasn t there to prevent the attack by Hinckley.

This movie is about Thailand special forces (NSSD) trying to contain a virus outbreak caused by a pharmaceutical company (GBC) that is deliberately infecting people in order to find a cure. The managing director of the company justifies this by saying that the people used as guinea pigs were not doing much with their lives anyway and so are essentially worthless. He pointed out as an example a guy who is always playing video games. I had to laugh (You know anyone like that?). Anyway, the virus is ironically called HOPE and is a strain of Ebola but deadlier.

Insight into the work of Inspector Walter Thompson, the man assigned to protect Winston Churchill from the early 1920s until the end of the Second World War. The detective saves the politician s life in an attack by the fledgling IRA, during a time of anarchism, spies and suffragettes

Thompson accompanies the politician on a journey to the Middle East to attend the 1921 Cairo Conference. While on the trip, the detective meets Lawrence of Arabia - and saves Churchill s life again

A trip to the USA and the Bahamas proves to be no holiday for Thompson, as Churchill narrowly escapes death and danger lurks in hospital corridors. Narrated by Robert Powell
