A tactical shooter, the Bohemia Interactivedeveloped Operation Flashpoint also allows players to operate a variety of land, sea and air vehicles. Additionally, players are able, and in some cases required to scavenge weapons off dead enemy soldiers. The game can be played from a third or firstperson perspective.

You and your fireteam take a small step into the future, Operation Flashpoint: Red River depicts a fictional conflict with contemporary geopolitical themes, which will unfold over three distinct acts in both single player and drop in/drop out co operative play for up to four players online. Faced with new counter insurgency combat and the returning threat of the Chinese PLA, players will feel the tension, brutality and carnage of modern conflict from the perspective of a marine fireteam on deployment in Tajikistan, thousands of miles from home.

The games plot tells the story of a fictional conflict in Tajikistan, which unfolds over three acts. Parties to the conflict are the U.S. Army and the liberation forces of China. The main focus of Operation Flashpoint: Red River is on co op with four people. The choice they will be represented by four character classes: rifleman, grenadier, reconnaissance, and submachine. Each of them has its own weapons and abilities. In addition, the Red River you will find an improved artificial intelligence, a well balanced weapons and huge locations
